The wildfire isn't the only thing burning out of control...

I thought sneaking past the barricades to track my rogue sister in the wilderness was my biggest challenge. But then the forest fire exploded across northern British Columbia, cutting off my way back and leaving me stranded in dangerous territory. Now, I've got two missions-find my sister and survive the fire.

I have no choice but to stay with a group of wildland firefighters. Getting close to humans near a blood moon is dangerous enough, but hiding out with Carter, a seasoned firefighter with sharp instincts, is reckless. There's a spark between us that feels more than human, and every moment with him makes it harder to remember why I should keep my distance.

But the rules are clear-shifters don't bond with humans. And we never take them as mates.

The problem is, Carter isn't just any human. My wolf is convinced we're fated. 

But Carter has no idea what I am, and the more time we spend together, the harder it gets to keep it a secret. When news hits of a wolf attack, our kind has to be even more careful about flying under the radar.

To make things worse, when I find my sister, I discover she isn't just rogue-she's tangled up with a group that is steeped in conspiracy, with ties to dark magic and forbidden relics that could unravel the balance between shifters and humans.

I need to deprogram my sister and get out of here. But the bond between me and Carter isn't one I can easily ignore, and every second we stay together only pulls me further into the fire...
