Emma Morgan, PhD, is a psychologist specializing in PTSD for the VA. She has a great loft apartment not too far from her work. She has a best friend, and slightly overprotective parents. She is single and mostly content to be that way...she may or may not have been in love with her best friend Ryan since 7th grade...and never told anyone. That's normal, right?

Major Ryan James is an Army Ranger with 15 years of service who's been in love with Emma since he was a kid and finally got the courage to kiss her just before he left for the most dangerous mission of his life. Now he is in a coma. Is it his imagination or is that her voice he keeps hearing?
