Finally Okay is a short play that is set at Bailee Mae Porter's funeral. We open with a preacher, asking Bailee's loved ones to share any fond memories they have of her. As friends and family share precious stories of their time with her, pantomimed scenes on another part of the stage give us a glimpse into Bailee's life. As the show progresses, we learn that Bailee took her own life after months of struggling with mental illness, and that, though many people noticed she wasn't herself, no one saw what was to come. To close the service, a moment of silence is held, during which Bailee speaks directly to the audience from beyond the grave about the last moments of her life, giving insight into her decision and reminding them that it is okay to not be okay and that asking for help is one of the bravest things one can do.
Run Time is about 20 minutes.
