Authors crave the spotlight, but in Seacastle they're dying for it.

When Seacastle hosts a vintage fair and a prestigious writers' conference under the same roof, Tanya Bowe expects nothing more dramatic than a strong haggle. She's several months pregnant and is doing her best to stay out of trouble as everyone, including her partner Harry, is treating her as if she is made of crystal. But then her sister Helen admits to writing a book and asks her to be her wingman at the conference. Tanya can't resist a foray into a different universe.

When an elderly author is found dead in her room, nobody turns a hair. But then another octogenarian writer expires, and Tanya is drawn into a web of secrets the literary world would much prefer to keep hidden. Ghostwritten books, stolen ideas, bitter grudges, and desperate ambition swirl through the conference, each thread pointing to someone with everything to gain... and nothing to lose.
