I've lived a thousand lives, each one ending in tragedy.

I had a small circle that surrounded me, consisting of one friend and my neighbors. Nothing is normal in my hometown of Salem, Massachusetts. Nothing is normal about my life. Not my neighborhood, not my town, not my family, and definitely not my friend Keeks. I thought my life was boring until the dreams started. Each night, the dreams were more vivid than the last, each one ending in a horrific death. Sometimes, I felt the flames licking at my skin, and other times, the blade piercing my body. I could almost feel death's breath on the nape of my neck. Would it ever end? Would I ever find peace?

Thousands of years, I hunted for her, only to reach her when tragedy struck. Her beautiful eyes were always so full of fire and defiance. My strong-willed mate fought every life until the end. Some would border insanity at this point. Losing a mate, let alone repeatedly, would send any shifter to an early grave. With each loss, each failed moment, and each death, my dragon grew stronger and more determined to find and save her. This time, I wasn't letting her go. She was mine.
