In 2020, as the world stood still and uncertainty reshaped daily life, Braulio Fonseca made a life-altering decision: he left Los Angeles and returned to his roots in the Appalachian Mountains. A U.S. military veteran, PhD candidate, and teaching assistant at Florida State University, Fonseca brings both academic insight and creative depth to his storytelling. He has been writing since childhood, and in this work he fully embraces the power of language to heal, question, and inspire.
