Facade

Facade is a deeply personal memoir about growing up inside a life that looked powerful and successful on the outside, but was built on trauma, silence, and survival.

Raised in a family entangled in crime, addiction, and generational dysfunction, the author learned early how to perform strength while hiding fear, shame, and confusion. From being groomed as a child, to navigating abuse, eating disorders, and a fractured sense of identity, she constructed a life that appeared admirable-beauty, popularity, career success, and family stability-while internally struggling with self-worth and emotional survival.

This memoir explores the long-term psychological impact of growing up in contradiction: faith and corruption, love and harm, success and emptiness. It follows her journey through adulthood as she repeats inherited patterns in relationships and career, ultimately confronting the realization that she has never truly been herself.
