Experiencing John

Whether you are a pastor looking for a resource for a class for mature believers, a volunteer leading a small group study or are personally studying Scripture for your own spiritual growth, this resource is for you. This study is designed to give confidence to followers of Christ, and to be a resource which anyone can pick up and use to teach confidently and thoroughly through John's Gospel.

Not only is Scripture authoritative and relevant, it is a deep well of profound truth which should be returned to regularly. That is the foundational truth from which this inductive study operates. Asking questions of the text, we will paint a picture of how the events described in the Gospel of John actually unfolded, seeing and experiencing them through John's eyes as though we were witnessing Jesus' ministry firsthand. Using this approach in tandem with good theology and sound hermeneutics, Scripture comes alive and becomes inescapably relevant. Careful study of Scripture allows the reader to not only know about Jesus, but to actually know Jesus.

Contained within this work is the actual biblical text of the entirety of John's Gospel (in the NIV translation), questions designed to prompt group discussion or personal reflection, and commentary framed through the lens of the discussion questions, making for an accessible and user-friendly resource that is relatable to people in all phases of their faith journey.
