All Elise Wilson wants to do this summer is spend her days isolated in the northern Minnesota wilderness, focusing on her graduate research of the local plant life. She's given up on making friends and instead wants to prove herself as a serious researcher.

But then a disastrous one-night stand lands her trapped in the woods with a mysterious group of people who call themselves wolf shifters. People who seem a bit more...animal than human but who might just be the friends she's needed all along.

Suddenly Elise finds herself caught up in the shifter's world - locked behind magical wards as the pack competes in a hunting competition. She's trying to think of nothing but completing her research, especially when she discovers a mysterious rot in the woods, but she can't seem to stay away from the shifters. Specifically the pack's alpha, Everett Silas, whose desire to heal the forest he calls home makes him as irresistible to Elise as the woods themselves. 

As her study of the forest rot unleashes some deadly secrets within Everett's pack, Elise finds herself more entangled within his world than she ever thought possible.
