This stirring collection of poems, the third by Kanchan Bhattacharya, a versatile poet who has been writing poetry ever since he was in his teens, actually. A soulful poet, he has fans and followers across India and abroad, forever waiting for more from him. This compilation has been divided into various subsections ,making it a complete poetic offering to any lover of ode and verse. Kanchan's muse is eternal, changing form, character, and mood, lighthearted, mischievous, in darker shades, fanciful at times, harshly real when she wishes to be, hovering in the background at all times and yet ubiquitous. At times she personifies cannabis, or a nose! Sometimes, she prompts the poet into levity whence he delightfully presents nonsensical limericks! Oh, the Muse! Pick your choice-from dark, forbidden, passionate love, or blatant carnality. This in-your-face quality of lustful, full-bodied love makes his poetry extremely powerful and leaves the reader shaken up, wanting more and more! He writes of women in all their desirability, in their myriad moods; in various avatars; as mistresses, lovers, wives; accompanied by erotic imagery. "Satiation is never a distant dream when you read him" (Tannaaz Irani, editor).
