Ember in Shadows

Emberlynn grew up on a farm, far away from life as a noble. After saving the life of a young boy as a girl, and him helping her to learn how to fight, she decided to travel to Crithean Castle in Empyrean to become a soldier. Not only is she successful, but she is chosen to be part of the King's elite fighters known as Templars, able to harness and manipulate the magick of the land beneath Empyrean.

After the mysterious death of the King and Queen, her true identity is revealed that she is the daughter and rightful heir to the Kingdom, much to the current Prince's dismay. He sides with the enemy in a plot to rid the Kingdom of its new ruler.

Who is the enemy? The cousin of the boy she saved as a young girl. The boy she fell in love with and imagined herself living the rest of her life with until he broke her heart and cast her out of his lands. Fate has brought them back together and he is looking to redeem himself in her eyes all while his cousin is plotting against them using her magick.
