Elevating Fluency

Elevate early literacy skills with K-1 Book 3 Consonant Digraphs. There are 3 differentiated decodable lessons for each of the following skills:

Every component of each lesson is aligned with the Science of Reading. This series is closely aligned with the UFLI phonics progression, as well as many other structured literacy programs. Elevating Fluency was written and created by a reading interventionist and literacy coach.

Engaging differentiated passages are provided for fluency instruction and practice. The three decodable reading passage options for each skill are approximately 10 words, 20 words, and 30+ words in length. Fry high-frequency words are embedded. Students are given multiple opportunities to read and write words with the targeted decoding skill while connecting them to meaningful text. Each lesson includes activating prior knowledge (oral language), high-frequency word review, phonemic awareness instruction with the targeted skill, word-level fluency practice, connected text practice, comprehension questions, phoneme-grapheme mapping of the targeted skill, and a dictation sentence. Students graph their progress, which increases motivation, and provides immediate feedback on their success.

This program can also be used for interventions for kindergarten and up. The lessons are complete and ready to go, making them perfect for the classroom, tutoring, or homeschooling. Every aspect of the lesson is aligned with the science of reading and incorporates multiple strategies recommended for students with reading difficulties, including dyslexia.
