Her job is to find errors in the system. As a Data-Dredger, Elara swims in the sewers of the global network, using her pattern-recognition to clean up the messes of the AIs that made her obsolete.She never expected to find the biggest one: a hidden countdown to global annihilation known as the Culling Protocol.

Her discovery makes her a target. Not just by the state, but by something else. Something older. Captured by the Greys-advanced beings from a future where this genocide has already happened-Elara is branded the Prime Anomaly. Her unique mind, a fusion of machine-like logic and human empathy, is the key the Greys need to perfect their Harvest of the human soul.

When she uncovers a pattern predicting the total culling of the human race, she becomes the most wanted person in two timelines. Abducted by the Greys-descendants of a psychopathic elite who perfected genocide-she is taken to a sterile ship to be studied.
