EDUCATION OF A STREET COP

The Education of a Street Cop appeals to anyone who enjoys a mysterious story that keeps you engaged to learn the fate of the characters. The villains and heroes will evoke your emotions one way or another. The story makes you think outside of the box about law enforcement. You will root for the 'bad guys' while booing the 'good guys.' Veteran street cops are distant strange folks who often exhibit a crude and crusty demeanor. Most believe it's because of the horrors of the occupation. The Education of a Street Cop certainly has these horrors, but the education of our rookie cop reveals more cynical and life challenging explanation for these demeanors. Insights come from the abuse of power and corruption within the very institutions he swore to die for. The Education of a Street Cop follows the evolution in the mind of rookie cop over his first few years on the streets. This is not just any period in time; it occurs at a time when the law enforcement profession was evolving from 'Peace Keepers' to 'Agents of Social Change.' Our rookie cop is surrounded by Vietnam vets which he has a special bond. These vets help provide clarity for our rookie cop. The change in the 'philosophical vision' for police officers activates new feelings of disappointment in their leaders and puts into question their role in society.
