This novella combines cryptids, folklore, spirituality, witchcraft, shapeshifting, Native American mysticism, and the fearless determination of law enforcement seeking justice. Mr. Galloway, Beck's estranged ex-husband and Chaske, a Cherokee medicine man, arrive for their own reasons. Who can trust whom? Will this group of people be able to work together and defeat these malevolent forces? Will their separate agendas be their undoing, allowing Jane to gain limitless power? Regardless, the enigmatic and mysterious hybrid creature known as the Wendigo witnesses the unfolding events, influencing them to serve its own needs.
