Poppy Everwood has poured her heart and soul into "The Woolly Rabbit," her charming yarn shop named after her clever Angora rabbit, Houdini. Business is a bit rocky, but between her custom-dyed fibers and Houdini's knack for charming the tourists, she's making it work.
But her peaceful life unravels when her biggest rival, the notoriously unpleasant owner of the shop across the square, is found dead in her own storeroom-strangled with a skein of Poppy's most expensive hand-dyed yarn.
Suddenly, Poppy is the police's number one suspect. With her reputation and freedom on the line, she has no choice but to launch her own investigation. Aided by her ridiculously intuitive rabbit who keeps digging up clues (and chewing on the evidence), Poppy must untangle a town's worth of secrets.
From a grumpy lobsterman to a gossiping baker, everyone in Sea Harbor is a potential suspect. But can Poppy knit together the clues and find the real killer before she becomes the next victim to be cast off?
