Dr. Shitz has just gotten a call from an old client, Angus McGillicuddy, London's most notorious gangster. Big Angus wants a Time Machine, and he's decided that Shitz is just the man for the job. He's giving Shitz 30 days to do it; Larry's wife, Jane, is taking out life insurance.

The first thing the infamous Doctor of Thaumaturgy needs to do is assemble a crack team of specialists. Fortunately, his old friend Professor Adam Balm knows a guy. If anyone can crack the code of time in time, it's the world-famous physicist Almer Brainstein. Wei Wei, the doctor's new and overly enthusiastic maid, can put him in touch with another genius, Kraken Van der Pot, the world's greatest engineer. If anyone can build a time machine in time, he's the man.

But as personalities clash, the populace protests, and the thread of reality itself seems to unwind, Dr. Shitz has to ask: are these crack shots or crack pots? Larry doesn't have a lot of time to find out, which is why he's making contact with the spirit world.
