Discovering True Authenticity

Publishing his first book, Keep Stepping - a Step-by-Step Journey to a Clearer View of Mental Well-Being, felt like a massive milestone for Mike Owen, but despite the closure it brought to his mental illness recovery, he could never envisage where the book would take him and who it would bring into his life.

He thought reaching closure would bring an end to his discoveries, but he now knows that he would begin another journey towards another destination.

A journey through unexpected connections and reconnections, grief, new relationships with previously challenging emotions, career change, wing spreading, recognitions and the discovery of his true authenticity.

As the authenticity was built on the firm foundations constructed over the previous 3 years, on solid ground laid by his ancestors, and documented in his first book, it felt secure, long lasting and life changing and would allow his light, that he'd kept hidden for so long, to begin to shine for all to see.

The light would show in all parts of his life as he stepped out of his comfort zone, felt more at peace in his own skin and relished a life that he'd masked for decades.
