Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk is one of Lu Xun's most beloved collections of reminiscence prose. It offers a relatively complete chronicle of the author's life and intellectual growth from childhood to early adulthood. Through vivid character sketches and heartfelt recollections, the work interweaves personal memory with sober rational reflection-both warm and deeply thought-provoking.
Call to Arms, on the other hand, is regarded as a landmark in the maturation of modern Chinese fiction. It brings together iconic short stories such as "A Madman's Diary" and "Kong Yiji." In his own preface to the collection, Lu Xun traces his personal journey, shedding light on the development of his ideological outlook and his evolving commitment to literature-what it meant to him and what he hoped to achieve through it.
