Zeke Wilheit lives the type of life others envy. Handsome, accomplished, and career driven, he always focused on the next big thing. Having recently relocated to the small town of Ashtin, Texas, Zeke is living his best life. Being the lead counselor at the high school came with many advantages. He had a gorgeous wife and his future was brighter than ever, however, his encounter with the striking new student has him keeping secrets of his own and makes for a Dangerous Attraction. Yvette Romero appears to live a carefree life like any other seventeen year old, but in reality she is anything but carefree. After an untimely tragedy, she and her mom move to Ashtin to make a fresh start. Running from a troubled past she wonders if this could be the place she can finally let go of the demons that threatened to destroy her all those years ago. When she ends up in the counselor's office on her first day of school and finds herself looking into whiskey rimmed eyes, she believes he could be the answer to putting her past to bed for good. One problem: He is unavailable and she is used to getting what she wants.

When the unthinkable happens and Yvette is found brutally murdered, guidance counselor Zeke Wilheit's secrets threaten to become exposed, which could potentially unravel his simple world and find him as the number one suspect. That is until her dark past begins to surface and the list grows longer. As Zeke searches for clues to this mystery and fights to save his life and marriage, the pieces begin to fall into place. Taking matters in his own hands, he goes to where it all began. This only proves to complicate the situation more and has him fighting for survival. New facts come to light as he discovers not all is as it seems especially in his little town.
