Being forced to work for three mysterious and peculiar old ladies that live down the street is a nightmare come true for seventeen-year-old Nyrobi. The rumors of buried bodies in their garden and their insatiable appetite for human children's flesh isn't enough to deter her parents from dropping her off right at their haphazard doorstep.

But when the gangs start inducting her and her friends into their groups and they find themselves in a dangerous situation, the elder women share their secret with Nyrobi and help her to uncover the truth behind the gangs in the neighborhoods, and the strange tattoos that are somehow connected to it all.
