Atlantis is getting more dangerous by the day, and former Red Kin member Emery Morgan is right in the middle of it. The Atlantis Hunters are cracking down on anyone deemed magically dangerous, and when even they refuse to tackle a case, that's when Emery and her ex-god partner, Loki, are handed the job. Their latest assignment: track down and neutralize the so-called monster of Clymene Avenue, a reclusive and suspected Red Kin collaborator whose power scares even the Hunters.

But Emery and Loki aren't the only ones after the monster. A fae con artist from Loki's past and her half-elf apprentice, Corey, have their own scheme running-one that collides head-on with Emery's mission and leaves her trapped in the middle of overlapping lies, shifting alliances, and too many hidden agendas. Some days, surviving her allies feels as risky as facing the target.

When the monster rears its ugly head, Emery is pulled into a brutal curse, a fight that tears through the city's streets, and a choice that pits her orders against her conscience. To save the people she cares about, she'll have to decide what justice looks like in a city that only wants monsters to blame.
