Long Synopsis

Set in 1653, CONQUEST is a sweeping historical novel that brings together pirates, freedom fighters, and outcasts in a collision course across the Caribbean. When a pirate assuming the identity of the legendary Captain Iron Eyes is captured by Jamaica's most powerful Spanish landowner, he's offered a deal: recover a stolen strongbox containing imperial secrets and earn his freedom.

But that strongbox - stolen by Chieftainess Nani, leader of Jamaica's rebel Maroon tribe - holds something far more valuable than anyone realizes: an encoded blueprint for conquering Jamaica and seizing the Spanish Treasure Fleet.

As Iron Eyes pursues the chest, Nani wages guerrilla warfare against Spanish forces while fighting for recognition as a female leader among rival tribes of Maroons-groups of rebels who have escaped enslavement in order to live free in the mountains of Jamaica.
