Comforting The Diabetic Heart

This is two stories of a father who become a diabetic while he was a strong, young man, who was told as a boy that he was born to work. This father became a great provider who worked hard, drank hard, loved food, ate heartily. After a week of hard work his wife prepared him a big Sunday meal, She was from the South, grew up eating good country food. It made her happy to put a full plate of food on the table the fruit of his labor for his family. He loved to eat. Eating the skin, even the fat in the fried chicken, seasoned, delicious meat on his plate was a daily reward, after a hard day's work. Then one day he woke to discover he had become diabetic. He had learned to take care of himself from doctors and his wife cooked food now right for a healthy life style for a diabetic. His condition he handled they way he did everything. He was not shaken and went in being a good provider and to eat more sensibly for the next fifty years. He went peacefully in his bed as he wished. His son would tell his story in this book. But then the son would have his own story to add to the generational sickness of diabetes, when he suddenly became diabetic. His son would learn how to reverse his diabetes. This is the story of two different experiences of healing, living and being delivered from diabetes affects on families of generations that lived with diabetes. The son was told to go home in a dream. Because he obeyed God's voice his father would live another fifteen years, if he had not seen a hole in his leg, gangrene, he would have had those years to heal body soul and spirit. This book is their personal story of living the good life with diabetes and after overcoming its affects on the generation of a family from years before to the present. Of all the affects that diabetes the heart carries the greatest burden, but this was how they learned to comfort the diabetic heart, to heal the heart which is the spirit within us.
