Closure

Caz Vanhoven, Vincent Jones' cousin, is a well-established author from the Netherlands and he has come to Sydney, by invitation, to present his new book. It's the story of two people setting off to start a new life in America, inspired by the emigration of his uncle and aunt, Vincent's parents.

Caz used some letters given to him by their aunt; letters that told part of his family's history. But it soon became clear that the letters contained more than the story of a hopeful, young married couple. Caz uncovered information, things he was sure even Vincent could never have imagined, that put the tragic events that had dogged Vincent, his siblings and friends, in a totally different light.

And there was a name, Lucas Armstrong, Vincent's policeman father's former partner.
Lucas Armstrong would tell a story no one could have imagined. A truth that might have been better left untold.
