This book assumes you have never opened Claude Code. It starts with the download and takes you through your first build.

PART I - THE SETUP
Install Claude Code, learn how to ask, set goals and loops, write your rulebook, and wire everything together.
What you need before you start. Claude Code is Anthropic's tool, and it is not on Claude's free tier. It comes with the paid Claude plans, Pro and Max. Have one before you begin, because every chapter runs on real sessions you are meant to repeat on your own machine.

PART II - NINE DESKS
Financial statements, valuation, bonds, derivatives, charts, portfolios, the close, bank risk, and ESG. Every desk is demonstrated through a real session, captured live.

PART III - THE HARNESS
The system prompt, plugin marketplaces-including accounting plugins-connectors and MCP, plus the skills and schedules that can keep parts of your desk running while you sleep.
