Chasing Malcolm

You are probably wondering why the title of this book is "Chasing Malcolm." Well, let me break it down for you. See, Malcolm X is one of my many heroes in life and the one I admire the most. From the first time I read The Autobiography of Malcolm X by Alex Haley, I gained a sense of purpose in my life. There was a point in time where I felt very lost as a young man coming of age, and there are still times now in my life as an adult where I feel lost, yet I can always refer to Malcom's story and wisdom for guidance and purpose, almost as I do so with the Bible. His story and journey are the epitome of a person's growth and transformation to be a better human being. There is no one else's story and journey that I can think of that comes even close to capturing a person's divine prophecy. He is the greatest example of someone facing so much adversity as a young boy, teen, and young man and turning his life around for the better. I am telling you, I cannot think of anyone else in history or in life who captures the transformation of growth for the better than Malcolm's story. His story is so amazing and unlike any other that reading it awoke my soul and spirit, pushing me to want to be better and do better in this journey of life. Since reading his book, I have been constantly chasing Malcom's greatness and sincerity all my life. Before it is all said and done, I want to achieve the excellence that he achieved; however, I have a long way to go to even come close to that. There are moments where I still backtrack, moments where I make and have made big mistakes and bad decisions even now as an adult. One moment I'm walking on the path, then quite easily I can get distracted and steer away from the path. In the meantime, while I am still seeking the journey to divine prophecy that Malcolm held, my purpose is to give back to others, such as youth, adults, fellow peers, my community, and the world, by sharing recommendations on life from my own experiences. Whether mistakes I made for someone else to avoid or effective steps to take that were helpful for me and maybe helpful for someone else, my sole purpose with the book is to try to help as many people as possible by sharing my thoughts and experiences on various aspects of life and topics, as Malcolm's story did for me.
