California UST System Operator Exam Study Guide 2026-2027 is an independent preparation resource for candidates taking the ICC California UST System Operator (Designated Operator), UC examination. It follows the public ICC outline for a 60-question, open-book, multiple-choice test with a 1½-hour testing period. The guide identifies the five published content areas and approximate weights-UST Systems, Operating Requirements, Release Detection, Record Keeping, and Release Reporting and Confirmation-so candidates can align study time with the blueprint.

Current operational instruction is based on California Code of Regulations, title 23, division 3, chapter 16, effective January 1, 2026. The guide addresses a boundary between the public outline and current law: the blueprint retains Task 0301 on single-wall release detection, while affected single-wall systems were required to close by December 31, 2025. That task is taught as published examination scope, never as authority to operate a prohibited system.
