On the second anniversary of my divorce, my best friend Dahlia decided it was high time I rediscovered love. She not only enrolled me in Magic Mates, a mystical online dating platform, but she planned 12 magical dates inspired by the song 'The 12 Days of Christmas.'

There are two problems with her plans.

First, I am Brinley Blitzen, the reindeer shifter entrusted with guiding Santa's sleigh alongside my fellow chosen reindeer. When I'm not soaring through the skies, I manage the bar at Santa's exclusive gentlemen's club, The Arctic Room. Santa issued a stern warning: any relationship drama within his club is strictly forbidden because "At the Arctic Room we keep our standards as high as our heels."

Second, there's Sterling Montgomery, Jr., aka Sacks, the half-human, half-gargoyle security guard. If he ever used his telepathic abilities on me, he would uncover my deepest secret-I've been in love with him for years. My aunt, who raised me, always encouraged me to be honest about my feelings. But I can't. I know he'd never look at me as more than a friend, and I wouldn't risk losing him completely.

Dahlia may have planned these dates to force me to find a personal life, but I intended to embrace this journey as an opportunity to convince my heart to let go of its longing for Sterling Montgomery, Jr.
