For Ynarra, things couldn't get worse. Until they did.

Torren, the mysterious, intriguing, and okay-hot-Curator has been shot twice in the chest and left to die on a Crystalbay pier. Weston-Ynarra's dearest and best friend-is missing. Pax, her secret and forbidden lover, has betrayed her. Zavier, the sketchy advisor to the queen of Crystalbay, has imprisoned her.

With danger and uncertainty around every corner, Ynarra and her small band of red-collared fugitives are finally free from their tower prison. But they now find themselves trapped behind enemy lines and newly-imprisoned inside of a city on fire.

Dragons are loose, armies are clashing in the streets, and the city's skyscraping black towers of glass and steel are crashing to the ground.

Pursued through the burning city by the Paladins and with the dragons wreaking havoc, all seems lost...until Ynarra hears a strange voice inside her head.

She doesn't know whose voice it is or why she keeps hearing it. All she knows is that it's got a mission for her:

Return to Stormport.

Revive the dead.

Unite the dragons.

Home is right across the river, but it might as well be a million miles and an entire realm away.

The dead are...well, dead.
