For Romeo and Juliet, death was supposed to be the final reunion. Romeo drank poison believing Juliet was gone forever. Juliet woke too late, found him dead beside her, and followed him into the grave. But in Beyond Death: Shakespeare's Purgatory, their story does not end in the tomb.

It begins there.

When Romeo awakens in a dark and mysterious afterlife, Juliet is nowhere to be found. Because their deaths came hours apart, they enter Beyond Death through separate paths, divided by time, grief, and the cruel laws of a realm built from unfinished wounds. Romeo searches for Juliet through mist, thorns, shadows, and doubt, while Juliet awakens elsewhere, determined to find the love she died for.

But Beyond Death is no peaceful resting place.

It is Shakespeare's purgatory - a realm where tragic souls are forced to face what life left unresolved. Iago still whispers poison. Lady Macbeth still reaches for influence. Caesar watches over the realm with calm and terrible authority.

As Romeo and Juliet fight to reunite, others see their love as something useful. If their love survives, it may bring light into Beyond Death. If it breaks, their despair may feed the realm's darkest forces.
