Prefaced by Pr Marcel DIKI-KIDIRI, this book examines the rise of pornocuriosity, a phenomenon that reflects the growing obsession with sexual scandals, exacerbated by social networks and widespread voyeurism. Through emblematic cases such as the Baltasar affair, Hervé Bopda and Tiwa Savage, the author highlights a societal transformation in which intimacy, once protected, is transformed into a public spectacle. Without being pusillanimous, and while avoiding being potemkin, he brilliantly sums up this evolution with the quotation: "In the past in Africa, to make love, we turned off the light; today, we turn on the camera." This phrase underlines how the digital age has blurred the boundaries between private and public life, feeding a cycle of humiliation, derision and distraction that distracts attention from the real social issues at stake.
