Elijah Martin has spent years keeping the center alive through meticulous records, carefully preserved history, and the kind of competence nobody notices until everything falls apart. He believes in accuracy, continuity, and not letting loud people rearrange his space.

Unfortunately, loud people keep arriving.

Tristan Tucker is a musician, emcee, occasional auctioneer, and community-event magnet with a dangerous talent for making rooms care. He thinks the heritage center does not need saving so much as staging. Elijah thinks that sentence alone should be grounds for removal from the premises.

When stalled funding, a donor crisis, and a high-stakes fundraising series force them into partnership, Elijah and Tristan find themselves building three impossible events together-one grounded in records, memory, and civic history, and the other held together by charisma, momentum, and entirely too much eye contact.
