In the first book the inhabitants of a government pod learn from the video game with the same name, "Another World", there is hope for a future if they take a chance on survival. Terrified they open the door to the outside and find Earth is habitable.
The second book in the series, "Another Time" starts when the survivors open the dome door and step outside. The planet is not barren of humanity even though that defies all odds. The Earth people are a peaceful group but they fear the worst could happen if they don't find a way to manage the pod people. Soon enough the pod people discover they aren't alone and there is at least one individual who hates them and has made it his mission to destroy them all.
