Molly didn't have the best start in life. She was born in Sydney, Australia, to Fiona, a 17-year-old who had no interest in raising her. But she was loved by her Nan, who reared Molly as best she could. The first three years of Molly's life were spent with her mother at Nan's house. Molly and Fiona finally moved into their own home, but there was a procession of boyfriends, beatings, hunger and neglect. Nan died just before Molly's fourteenth birthday, so Sergeant Thompson and his wife decide to foster Molly and eventually adopt her. Molly's newfound happiness is shattered when her new mum dies, but she eventually comes to terms with her life and meets a young man who truly loves her. Happily ever afters are not always possible, but in Another Rule Broken, there is hope even when things seem their bleakest.
