Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is the capacity to experience and express one's emotions appropriately, in addition to handling interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically. It includes the understanding that emotions drive behavior and impact each individual positively or negatively. Emotional intelligence is related more to what is presently happening, for it is used to identify and manage emotions in the moment. It's debatable if IQ is inherently fixed and unchangeable, but EQ is unequivocally viewed as a fluid set of skills that can be greatly improved through increased awareness and commitment to a heightened level of self-inquiry. Improving your EQ Score is an arbitrary number achieved through personalized reasoning, both objectively and subjectively-there is no standardized score. It doesn't matter what your baseline is gauged to be (High, Medium, or Low) as you open the book to commence reading. The important thing to know is at the final written word, unprejudiced progress was made in mastering the content. If you truthfully attest to having consciously integrated the material, then your EQ Score has taken a quantum leap.
