Almost Friends

Brilliant plus-size surgeon Auburn Fox believes people are most palatable when they're under general anesthesia. Humans are idiots (as a trauma doctor, she knows this to be fact) who do nothing but hurt each other. She refuses to let anyone close-other than Lily Thatcher, Aubrey's lifelong best friend. When Lily dies, leaving behind her six-month-old daughter, Rosie, Aubrey is determined to keep Lily's memory alive for Rosie and give the little girl all the love Lily would have.
