Jeanie Dy Harris is a Khmer American poet and the daughter of refugees, whose life and work are rooted in resilience, healing, and transformation.
Drawing from her lived experiences, including divorce, motherhood, and personal growth, her writing reflects both vulnerability and strength.
She holds a Master's degree in Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership and Change. As a behavioral and mental health specialist, peer recovery specialist, and trauma-informed coach, CEO of Khmer Rooted, Direct Support Professional, National Parent Leadership Institute Aulmi, she wears many hats in her professional life, but the one she holds closest to her heart is motherhood.
Born in Alabama and now residing in Rhode Island with her children and their dog, Jeanie finds inspiration in both the quiet and adventurous moments of life. When she's not writing, you can find her riding her motorcycle, hiking, exploring great food, spending quality time with her children, engaging in her communities and always with a book in hand.
