AFTERIMAGE is a psychological, experimental work by Australian writer Zia Abdullah. It explores what remains after experience has already passed, and how identity is shaped by delayed recognition of thought and perception.
Written in fragmented reflections, the work traces an internal state where meaning is not lost but misregistered, and where awareness arrives slightly after the moment it attempts to observe.
This is an exploration of perception as aftermath rather than event.
The reader is placed inside a delayed internal experience, where thought does not collapse so much as echo beyond its origin.
