Contemporary man-machine interfaces are increasingly characterized by multimodality, nonintrusiveness, context-sensitivity, adaptivity, and teleoperability. These environments also provide real-time access to peripheral components like, e.g., webcams or microphones, enabling hands-on experimentation and testing.§
