Advanced Buddhist Metaphysics

For the serious student of spiritual enlightenment: how to approach the difficult questions of life and existence - independently and objectively - without having to join a group, accept any beliefs, or practice meditation. 'The most 'advanced' 'question any human being can possibly ask is also the simplest:what exactly is the problem with our existence, and how can we resolve it ? This is the selfsame question the Buddha asked all those thousands of years ago, and the question we still have to ask today. 'Sceptical spirituality' means approaching all doctrines and all religious practices with the same healthy suspicion as you would any worldly proposition: in other words, do these practices work, and are these doctrines accurate and helpful ? If not, let's look elsewhere. After all, we're trying to save ourselves, not make matters worse.
