People lost family members, friends, and neighbors as the crisis ensued, swiftly budding into havoc that grew to mayhem and confusion. People quietly began leaving their jobs in hoards and this led to the 'The Great Resignation'. Workplace jargon changed and expanded into a new language that required different procedures, organizational practices, systems operations, human resource applications, AI, and different innovations.
