This book is about one of the most amazing and patient men in
the Bible that you will ever read about. He wasn't only important
to the Jews but the Gentiles as well. His name was none other
than Abraham. This book starts out with a very simple command,
by God, who tells him only to leave everything he has and go to
a place that God is going to show him. No other person in the
Bible, other than Jesus, was told something like this. If you do
your research, Moses, Issac, Jacob, Peter and Paul, were all given
instructions on where to go and what to do, by the Lord. In Paul's
case, some of it what was told to him were by Jesus first, after he
went to glory, and the other by a man. Another thing you will
notice about this book concerning Abraham, is the fact that his
name changed twice, along with his wife Sarah. Abraham was
so faithful that he was the first man that was literally called the
friend of God.
