A Memoir of the Family of Stefan Rzewuski is Henryk Rzewuski's account of a Polish family shaped by patriotism, war, loss, and a new life in America.
At its heart is Henryk's father, Stefan Rzewuski, who served Poland as a Legionnaire and later in the underground during the Second World War. Sent to Berlin for interrogation, Stefan was killed there. Henryk's story follows the family through the upheaval that followed and his own journey to the United States, where he built a life while holding fast to his Polish roots.
Illustrated with family photographs, this English edition preserves a father's telling of the people and events he wanted future generations to remember. It is both a family history and a tribute to the strength it took to carry that history forward.
