A boat for freedom

Carlo, a successful entrepreneur and telecommunications pioneer, left a "small empire" to pursue his lifelong dream: sailing solo around the globe on his sloop "Scila." After ten years of training, this daring navigator braved the oceans three times, braving storms and death amidst sharks and unpredictable dangers. Along the way, he faced betrayal from those close to him and the loss of his company at the hands of family abuse. His journey in search of freedom and self-discovery culminated in a nightmare: upon landing in Papua New Guinea, he ended up in a "den of poisonous snakes." Arrested on charges of cocaine trafficking and money laundering—crimes he did not commit—he was thrown into Bomana prison, where human rights are trampled and he must fight against evil and corruption. During his imprisonment, Carlo received the devastating diagnosis of inoperable cancer and, although forced to endure excruciating pain, he faced imprisonment as if it were his final arena without ever giving up, finding inner strength also thanks to the knowledge of the "Masters".
