I never set out to write a book. For years, I simply wrote down observations whenever life taught me something worth remembering. As an engineer, husband, father, traveler, and lifelong question-asker, I began to notice that these seemingly unrelated experiences were connected.

A failed relationship taught me about forgiveness.
A career setback taught me how to bounce with the ball.
My father's death made me wonder what comes next.
Travel taught me how small the world really is.
And a lifetime of questions taught me that sometimes the most important thing isn't finding the answer-but being willing to ask the question.

These aren't rules for living.

They are stories.

Some are funny. Some are painful. Some are philosophical. And some may make you look at your own life a little differently.

Because the lessons that shape us are rarely learned in classrooms. They are learned while we are living life.

This book is about those lessons-the ones that appear when we aren't looking for them. The moments that challenge us, surprise us, humble us, and sometimes change the way we see ourselves and the world around us.
