In the late 1870s, telekinetic Sheriff Wisdom "Wiz" Armstrong becomes protector of the small town of Wisdom Peak after using his gift to repel a band of marauders. He becomes both feared and respected by the townsfolk, who follow his law to prevent the use of firearms and allow him to become the sole defender of the township. However, when a notorious gunslinger and a sadistic gang of gifted individuals visit the town to challenge him, Wiz is forced to reconsider the purpose and limitations of his own abilities.
