I'm a forty-six-year-old billionaire, and I'm going to die in the next two months. I don't know when they will kill me, only that it's going to happen. I've decided I can't tell anyone, which makes it all the more difficult for me to prepare. There are special people I'd like to say goodbye to, but no, I can't risk putting their lives in danger. Absolutely no one must know about this. One good thing, at least that bastard lawyer Buckler will lose his monthly blackmail payment. That alone makes it almost worth dying. But what of Ethan Grayson? My closest and dearest friend. Poor Ethan will find out that he's not only inherited 2.1 billion dollars, but I may have placed his life in harm's way as well. They won't expect Ethan to inherit the money. Why him, they'll ask as they brood on it? Many will hope that I'll leave them money from my vast estate, but none will be forthcoming. My family and my company, Sherwood Investments, will be shocked by the news that Ethan will get the bulk of my estate, and my newly found cousin, Bobby Bell, will inherit half a billion dollars. At least I've told everyone about Bobby so that shouldn't be a problem. Still, if anyone can figure out the mystery of my death, Ethan will. He'll research it like one of his novels and solve the conundrum, but then he won't believe it. I have left clues. However, his plate will be full, what with my death, Buckler, my children in prison, the mystery of the yellow tags, and all the company problems I've left behind. He's going to have his hands full. I pray he can do it.
