Spear Point

The Spears have trained their entire lives to protect the Realm. Now war will show whether that training is enough.Thomasyn, Bethany, Jon, and their fellow Spears are sent toward the Teeth of the World to investigate why the flow of gold, jewels, and weapons from the Dwarfs has slowed. Before they can uncover the truth, they discover a far more immediate danger: a Hobs army is moving against the Realm. At its head is Danton, a warrior who should have been dead for centuries, sustained by dark Hobs magic and driven toward a confrontation with the Spears.Bethany is sent racing across the Realm to bring warning and reinforcements while Thomasyn, Jon, Shail, and Garion remain behind to slow the invasion. Outnumbered, they turn deception, ambushes, and everything their training has taught them against an enemy capable of overwhelming towns before the Realm can respond. But battle reveals more than the strength of their enemies. Jon's hunger for the fight grows increasingly difficult to ignore. Thomasyn is forced to weigh punishment against justice. And the Spears begin to discover that the threats facing the Realm reach beyond the army in front of them. The Spears were raised to serve the law, protect those who cannot protect themselves, and sacrifice themselves if the Realm demands it.Their first war will test every part of that oath.A Spear Point, Book Two of The Book of Spears, continues Thomasyn Saye's journey as the young protectors leave training behind and face an invasion where courage alone will not be enough to save the Realm.
