Social thinking has been noticeably active in all countries, and the most modern universities have not failed to follow up on that activity, because it is a sign of a new era in which the speed of events, the anxiety of souls, the spread of sects and tendencies, and the awakening of passions and desires require that scientific efforts be made available for a calm and objective treatment of the problems of current society, whether political, economic, intellectual, or moral.What is meant by scientific treatment is to avoid the purposes and whims due to which the pens of a group of those who write in sociology with the motive of "reform" slip away and nevertheless attribute themselves to this science, ignoring that science as such does not know reform and treatment, and that it is only a "method" of research, interpretation, and producing certain results.
